My name is Andreas Yedamsik, and I’m proud to be part of the Behrens Group – Germany’s leading and most innovative timber wholesaler. We take pride in our roots, but even more in what we move every day – physically and figuratively. Today, we take you behind the scenes of a true game changer in our logistics: the Wingliner.
At first glance, the Wingliner may look like just another truck. But it’s far from ordinary. It’s a mobile innovation platform – engineered for efficiency, safety, and modern workflows. With the push of a button, the sidewalls open automatically in seconds. No manual handling of tarps, no heavy lifting, no hazards. Loading and unloading becomes faster, safer, and much more ergonomic.
And the impact is measurable: Before the Wingliner, our drivers reached about 8 customers over a 100-kilometer route. Now? Up to 15 customers across 200 kilometers. That’s not just improved efficiency – it’s a new standard. At the same time, our team still makes it home on time. Less stress, more satisfaction, and happier clients all around.
Kai Beuchers, our occupational safety expert, explains it clearly: “The Wingliner significantly lowers accident risks. No awkward lifting, no unpredictable elements – it’s a huge upgrade for everyday safety.”
On top of that, our vehicles feature the latest assistance systems: distance sensors, blind spot detection, rear cameras, lane assist – everything modern transport needs to be safer and smarter.
But technology alone isn’t enough. What truly makes the difference is the synergy between people, processes, and machines. That’s why we don’t just invest in vehicles, but in our people. Our drivers receive extensive training, and our logistics processes are continuously optimized. The Wingliner is one key element – but it's the one you can see from the outside.
So what drives us? It’s simple: We don’t just want to be the largest timber partner – we want to be the most reliable, the most forward-thinking, the most human.
We don’t just deliver wood – we deliver solutions. And with the Wingliner, we’re proving that progress is not just about technology. It’s about mindset.
To us, the Wingliner is more than just a truck. It’s a statement of purpose: that shaping the future starts with working smarter today.
